Lawson’s mobile convenience vans in Japan are a blessing in disguise

Japan’s resilience is stuff of legend. After all, the country is known to come out of grave situations: be it the Hiroshima bombing or the recent devastating earthquake in March. And the reason behind this rare quality is the people there. A perfect example of the same comes from Ohio’s oldest convenience store, Lawson. In a bid to make food and other utilities reach to people, the store chain has started mobiles stores that not only can drive into the quake striken areas with ease, but are designed such to store food, cook them and even delivered it to the doorstep when called for and in perfect condition.

This may not be the first time that a Japanese corporation has thought of such a noble idea, but it’s sure appreciable.
