I like the idea of giving those you really admire, a tribute that not only sits like a mundane memorial, but brings the person to life with every passing moment. The robot dedicated to Beicho Katsura III, a rakugo comic story teller, will make its appearance next month. It took $1 million to make the robot a truly fitting tribute to the artist. This does remind me of the controversial German joke-telling robot from South Park. Only this one’s funnier.
