LG has joined the bandwagon of large-screen-smartphones with its latest unveiling, the newest addition to the Optimus line, the Optimus L9. With an eye-pleasing 4.7-inch IPS display, this smartphone runs a customized version of the Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS and sports a narrow-bezel, making the phone looking pretty darned charming. That apart, the Optimus L9 packs a 1GHz dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM and comes with a 5-megapixel main camera on the back with a VGA up front, good enough for video-calling. With 4GB worth of onboard storage, the Optimus L9 sports a 2,510 mAh battery and measures in at 131.9 x 68.2 x 9.1 mm and includes the QMemoTM application for recording notes alongside QTranslator. Pricing details and a release date haven’t been mentioned yet and we expect to hear more with the upcoming IFA 2012.
