The magic of 3D is spreading and how. The latest announcement comes from the house of LG, who is set to formally introduce a mobile device featuring a glasses-free 3D display. LG will be the first to actually bring this concept to life, when it showcased the phone at CES2011. The company demonstrated the 3D system using a 4.3-inch LCD with 800×480 resolutions making it a perfect fit for smartphones. The technology uses parallax barriers to separate the left and right images without the need for special glasses.
LG’s unveiling has definitely opened doors for many smartphone makers, many of who can be expected to introduce their devices next month at the Mobile World Congress. Given the growth of 3D in recent times, we’re sure there are plenty of surprises in the offering!
