LG Electronics will be the first brand to be certified by TUV Rheinland for its flicker-free 3D notebook display. The Agency is considered to be Europe’s highest authority on standards as well as one of the leading technical, safety and certification services all over the world. It has bestowed the recognition to the LG A530 notebook as being the first 3D notebook PC that offers flicker-free viewing experience. After rigorous testing of the 3D display the boasts of proprietary Film Patterned Retarder (FPR) screen with Full HD 1920×1080 resolution, TUV issued its certification stating that the flickering screens issue seems to be resolved.
Prolonged viewing of such flickering screens can cause views cause discomfort. J.J. Lee, Executive Vice President and Head of LG Electronics PC Business Unit said, “Recognition from TÜV Rheinland is especially welcome given the organization’s focus on quality and safety. Official certifications from leading third party authorities only help to confirm our belief that LG’s 3D technology is second to none.”
