Liberator modified into world’s first 3D printed rifle, named ‘The Grizzly’

Few months back when we got the first glimpse of 3D printed gun ‘Liberator’, we had a feeling that soon we’ll see many more modified versions of it. We didn’t have to wait too long, an active member of the DEFCAD (online forum for 3D-printed firearms) who goes by the name ‘CanadianGunNut’ has come up with a rifle-ized verison of Liberator. Also known as ‘Maker Mathew’, he has named his creation ‘The Grizzly’.

Other than a long barrel and a read stand for stability, the design is similar liberator. With the help of coiled mainsprings it can fire a single shot of .22-caliber bullet. He used Stratasys Dimension 1200es 3D-printer for the rifle and except for the metal nail it’s completely made up of plastic. A video demonstrating the gun was posted by him on YouTube. After a single shot damage on the barrel and the body of the gun is visible. After a handgun and rifle, what next, single shot miniature canon?
