Licensed to thrill not drive, Tron-like Lamborghini driver apprehended in London

It’s one thing to go around the streets of London, zipping in a cool Tron-themed Lamborghini that ‘glows in the dark’, and another to do the same without a licence. That’s just what the driver of these speed monster, (allegedly) Nasser Al-Thani, 24, of Qatar’s ruling family, had to answer for. This happened in an unfortunate (for him) instance when he decided to take his purple car with glow-in-the-dark body outlines for a spin around town. The incident occurred near Harrod’s in Knightsbridge on 26th June. It’s not just the paint job that has us giving the illegal driver a heads-up for his auto-crazy but also the cool scissor doors that make it look like it’s just out of a Tron movie. There were several valid reasons for the apprehending including a missing front number plate (too messy for the sleek Lamborghini), not driving licence produced from the driver on request nor correct insurance documents.

The London Police impounded the £350,000 super-car ($534K)! It is believed that the car got its makeover from a Japanese tuning company.
