Marantz’s Melody Movie is one Blu-ray player that’s more than what it seems. It adds an iPod/hard drive compatible unit with a multichannel amplifier that fulfills most if not all your multimedia needs. It’s a finely crafted unit to begin with and adds a HDMI output for Blu-ray playback, three auxiliary inputs and a secondary USB port that reads data from HDDs. The iPod connection provides direct control and playback, quite effortlessly and efficiently from iPhones as well. Additionally, the system also packs RDS FM/AM and CD and DVD playback.

Its fineness that comes at a price. It’s a whole £800 ($1,269) worth of spending.
