Hamyi has just introduced among the first smartphone external batteries to be themed around a major franchisee. What better to start a trend than by paying homage to the Star Wars saga? The batteries do not come with just a single representation but are available as Darth Vader, R2-D2, Stormtroopers and a number of other designs. You can now proudly flaunt how a galactic soldier just charged your smartphone. We could absolutely do with a Yoda who would send some Jedi Force through cables, kicking your dead phone back into life. How representative and practical would that be? But we cannot complain about these either. The battery offers a charge of 3,000 mAh. The battery levels are indicated by four LEDs and they measure 70 x 180 x 20 mm and weight 81 grams. Also included is a 30 cm microUSB cable.


The chargers are priced at 3,400 Japanese Yen (a little above $30 as per today’s exchange rates).
