We stumbled across rumors of Microsoft’s attempt at a tablet sometime ago. And now, the creators of the wonderful world of Windows have officially unveiled the much rumored and anticipated device, christened the Surface. This Windows 8 RT tablet measures 9.3mm thick and comes with an all-magnesium VaporMg case weighing 1.3 pounds. Packing an NVIDIA-made ARM chip, a built-in stand, twin 2×2 MIMO antennas for WiFi, and a 10.6-inch optically-bonded Gorilla Glass 2-protected display, the Surface also comes with a magnetically attached cover that amazingly doubles up as a full multi-touch keyboard and trackpad! With an optional 32GB or 64GB of storage, an HDMI port, microSD and USB 2.0, Microsoft hasn’t mentioned pricing or launch details yet, both of which are looked-forward to.
