The Cubisto, by mobiBlu hits music ‘squarely’ on our face. A very blocky appearance gives it a typical 60’s radio look. But it has a lot more to show. mobiBlu have compromised a color display in lieu of a monochrome screen. However, it does serve the purpose alright. All file formats supported by WMA and PlayForSure codec packs are supported with the Cubisto. Not a good battery life to show for and the monochrome may leave this baby behind in competition. It can prove to be really great piece for those who love collecting square objects ranging from furnishing to wall hangings. It fits into such a collection really well. Available in two variants (1 GB and 2 GB), the player does have all that an average music lover would want.

The mobiBlu Cubisto 1GB costs $90 while the 2 GB variant costs $110. Its release dates are not yet announced in US or Europe.
