The blind have always had a problem with currency, especially bills. There exist felons who take undue advantage of those who have vision disabilities and con the blind by handing them less change than they should be getting. And this is just one instance. Identifying currency notes never was an easy thing for the blind till the Money Identifier came along. This device is no bigger than a checkbook and uses Braille to help the blind determine how much currency they have on them or have received from someone. The currency note has to be slid into a slot in the machine where it is scanned and the Braille equivalent of the amount takes form for the blind to identify it.
The system can be connected to a computer’s USB port to download new bill formats and specifications. The concept design is by one Jacob Rynkiewicz.
