MSI’s new 17-inch Crystal 945 barebone PC, allows you to build a family-friendly PC with all the zest. The 945G chipset running this thing only support up to a Pentium D processor, so power will be quite a low point for the PC no matter how well you spec the rest. The package is quite appealing though; it includes a 7-in-1-card reader, a PCI Express x16 slot (and integrated graphics), and a mini-PCI slot for WiFi action, gigabit Ethernet and a bunch of other goodies. With all that expandability, the Crystal is a bit high on size for an all-in-one, measuring a full 3.8-inches thick, but there’s really a lot to look forward here if you can overlook the processor limitations — and if you’ve got the itch for doing stuff yourself and build your own PC.

There is no word on price or availability of the MSI Crystal 945.
