NEC Docomo Pro N-08B can pass off as a mini notebook rather than a mobile phone

NEC has a new portable ‘Communicator’ styled handset under their Docomo Pro Series, designed for Japan’s NTT Docomo. It’s called the N-08B. Just like the Nokia Communicators of old, the N-08B will also features a large (4.6-inch) widescreen display on the inside coupled with a full QWERTY keyboard. It’s going to be quite like the E90 Brick as it weighs in 300g so toting it around isn’t going to be too easy. But it seems less like a mobile phone and more like a netbook that’s loaded with Wi-Fi capabilities POP3/SMTP email account support and a memory card slot. It’s also using a Windows CE OS to get things done.

It’s due to be out sometime in August but there’s no pricing on it just yet.
