NEC Japan has developed a way to convert standard analog video imagery to HD that’s 17 times faster than any regular method that’s currently available. Just one hour of video can be converted to HD in a matter of 10 hours. Just so you know, if you’re new to this, it would usually take about a month for the same length of video. Now that’s a long wait. This new method will also be able to sharpen old and foggy or grainy images captured on non-HD security cameras if need be. Let’s not forget it’ll be so much faster to remaster old TV shows or movies etc. and NEC is also planning on making this tech even better as progress continues. Next step, broadcasters and finally, you and me. HD video’s here we come, 17 times faster than before.
