NEC was quick to launch the color-rich 24-inch LCDs in the United States after the Japanese launch. Both the models have 24-inch IPS panels that produce better images than PVA or TN screens and give 96.7 percent coverage of the sRGB color space. They also have 12-bit color lookup tables, ambient light sensors for auto-adjust of brightness and compensation for color and light variances for the LCD. The model LCD2490WUXi2, I know the name is long and weird, is priced at US$ 1099 and the LCD2490W2 at US$ 1299.
