The NEC N905i is a brand new addition to NTT DoCoMo’s lineup. The phone works on GSM and W-CDMA frequencies and is loaded to the teeth. To start with the clamshell has a super crisp 3 inch internal display sporting a 480×854 resolution, a monochrome external display for caller ID etc along with HSDPA and GPS. Coming to the main feature the 5 Megapixel camera with face detection which is currently found only in the latest digital cameras. In case you are unaware of the technology it actually detects a face in the scene adjusts the exposure and other settings accordingly so the picture comes out great. The N905i’s face detection can detect 3 persons simultaneously. It can record video in H.264 format in VGA resolution at 30 fps. Coming to multimedia it can play all popular media formats and comes with Yamaha sound engine for enhanced audio playback.
As always the NEC N905i is Japan only and will be available in red, black, white and pink by November 26.
