Its about time, Apple has finally got the gorgeous display from the iPad to the Macbook Pro. The next generation as it is being called will sport a ridiculously thin 15.4 inch display and sport an unheard resolution of 2880 x 1880 or 220 pixel per inch. So a better contrast ratio, darker blacks and a reduced reflection of the glossy display by 75%. The next gen Macbook Professional is 25% thinner as thin as the Macbook Air. Under the hood it will pack a Quadcore i7 processor upto 2.7 ghz, 16 gigs of RAM, Kepler nVIDIA GPUs, and can be configured with upto 768GB of flash storage.
Needless to say it will be expensive.
Update – It will be starting at $2199.
The battery will last for 7 hours and 30 days on standby.
Apart from the Retina display the coolest feature is a cooling system which uses asymmetrical fan blades which split the fan noise over more frequencies so they are perceived as quieter.
