Shoe laces that tie themselves are surely up for the taking and hey, there’s no one who wouldn’t like to make do. It saves you the bending down, using your brain and above all, getting your hands soiled. Nike are introducing such laces, themed around the Back to the Future series of movies. They resemble the pair worn by Marty McFly in the movie. The laces will be powered by an electronic system. Website Sole Collector showcased Nike designer Tinker Hatfield who made the revelation official. “Are we gonna see power laces in 2015? To that, I say yes,” he said.


Back when the company created their famed Back To The Future II shoes, called Air Mag, they came along with an ordinary non-power laced system. All they did back then was glowed. What’s interesting and most fans may have already picked up on is the fact that Marty McFly does arrive in the year 2015, in Back to the Future II.
