Nikon announces six new cameras


If you’re somebody who loves to travel outdoors more than often, Nikon’s newest Coolpix AW100/AW100s will work great for you. These will be great companions when you’re in the middle of natural soundings and its Nikon’s first step in the area of rugged digital cameras. Specs include a 16 megapixel CMOs sensor, 5x lens, 1080p video capture, built-in GPS, and water resistance to 33 feet. But these rugged cameras weren’t alone. Nikon also unveiled the $500 Coolpix P7100 that boasts of 10.1 megapixel CCD sensor, 7.1x zoom lens, 921k-dot tilting LCD, and manual controls. Then there is the $430 worth S1200pj is different from the rest for it has a built-in projector and iOS compatibility. Specs include a 14.1 megapixel sensor, 5x zoom, 720p video, and a 3-inch LCD.

For the style conscious folks, there is the S100 sibling for $300 that is available in color options like red, black, purple and blingy gold. Its hardware specs include a 16 megapixel sensor, 5x zoom, 1080p video, and 3D capture. Then comes the S8200 superzoom which boasts of 14x Nikkor lens, 16.1 megapixel CMOS sensor, 1080p video, and 3-inch 921k-dot LCD. To end with, we have the less expensive S6200 for $230 which packs a 10x optical zoom, 16 megapixel sensor, 720p video, and a 2.7-inch LCD. All of these will start shipping from this September.
