The 3DS sales earlier didn’t earlier pick up as expected by Nintendo but the company recently announced that it has shipped more than 4 million 3DS units in United States. This number actually surpasses those of Wii Unit sold during the console’s first nine months on the market. But Wii Sales figure did reach 4.5 million Wiis in the US alone last year. The company executives owe these figures to new Mario and Zelda titles coupled with strong reviews and satisfied customers. Nintendo’s decision to slash 3DS prices is also a major factor here.
