Nintendo Co. Ltd.’s Wii is the best-selling video game console in the United States for the month of February. NPD (a market research firm) stated that 335,000 consumers bought the Wii as compared to 127,000 of Sony Corp.’s PlayStation 3 consoles in February. Though both the systems debuted in November, the $250 Wii has overtaken the $600 PS3. The Xbox 360 had debuted a year earlier in November 2005, but it clinched the second spot with 228,000 units picked up in February.

With gaming passion on the rise, all the companies are trying to gain the tosspot in this $13 billion market.
