Electric cars are pretty much catching up to people’s interest. What they’re also doing is modifying themselves to speed up and be quick enough to touch breath-taking speeds. Take Nissan’s ZEOD RC for instance. It is considered to be the world’s fastest in its segment of electric cars and is named based on the acronym for Zero Emission On Demand Racing Car (ZEOD RC). It is a cousing to the DeltaWing, which is gas powered, and makes possible speeds of over 300 kmph (186 mph). Besides the fuel economy and the green nature of the car, the ZEOD RC also works well, in the sense that it is offers a lightweight architecture and advanced aerodynamics.
So far the car has survived testing grounds and may soon emerge as something that blew away as a concept. We are sincerely hoping not though. The ZEOD RC will test out various electric drivetrain options before it is put to a true test, to race in 2014. The ZEOD RC Le Mans will surely have folks talking.
