Northern Illinois University Engineering Prof. uses video games to teach, best class on campus ever

Let’s face it, when someone tells you that they’re using video games as a teaching technique it’s not really surprising. All kinds of videogames including some of the bloodiest provide some form of mental exercise as well. I don’t mean just hand-eye coordination but puzzle-solving quests etc. But Prof. Brianno Coller from Northern Illinois University, has figured out a way to keep his engineering students not only awake and engrossed in his class but also how to actively apply their required formulas and algorithms for various fun purposes, namely through video games. He uses these games to explain engineering principles to his students. It definitely unorthodox, but I bet his class is more fun than the others.
