Needless to say, our smartphones are nothing less than lifeblood for us. No one can undermine the sea of benefits they bring in, but it would be a blatant lie if we didn’t accept it’s a big distraction as well. The National Transportation Safety Board is therefore working on a legislation which will enforce a strict nationwide ban on usage of cell phones while driving your car. Statistics suggest that over 3,000 people have died in car crashes which stemmed from cellphone-use distraction. The nationwide ban will prohibit everything from texting, calling, or even operating a phone hands-free. This could lead to little bit inconvenience but I guess that is the price we should be willing to pay if we safer driving practices.
