Panasonic unveils new Lumix DMC-FZ200 camera with 24x superzoom


Panasonic is bound to grab a lot of attention with its latest release, the Lumix DMC-FZ200. In essence a 24x superzoom that includes a constant-F2.8 lens, this latest addition to the Lumix line packs a high-resolution 1.3m dot equivalent electronic viewfinder and is capable of capturing high-quality images using the zoom to its fullest, without having to tweak the ISO settings! Sporting a 25-600mmm equivalent lens with a Power OIS stabilization system and ‘Nano Surface Coating’ to reduce lens flare, the new DMC-FZ200 packs a 12.1-megapixel High Sensitivity MOS sensor and a high performance image processing LSI Venus Engine along with an Intelligent Zoom function to top it off. Capable of shooting at 12 frames per second and 1080p videos at 60fps or 720p at up to 120fps, the new Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ200’s pricing and availability hasn’t been officially announced as of now.
