Last seen at CES 2008, Panasonic showcased its jaw dropping 150 inch Plasma TV again at the Display 2008 Expo in Tokyo. Other than more pics we also have technical data this time. The panel has a resolution of 4,096 × 2,160 and makes use of the newly developed Neo PDP technology which makes use of a new florescent substance that is twice as bright as conventional Plasma displays. With power saving being the theme of the decade the mammoth 150 incher does just that and consumes half the power than its counterparts. Panasonic was tight lipped about the availability and pricing, but again with the economic downturn a very few would be interested in getting a $100,000 TV rather than cheap real estate.
High resolution of 4,096 × 2,160 supports Digital Cinema playback as well.
