Pioneer has partnered with Matushita for development of Plasma TV panels. The tie up will focus on new development and supply of PDP panel modules. With the new agreement Pioneer’s high contrast conversion and super thin panel construction technology used in its KURO brand of Plasma TV’s will be fused with super efficient low power consuming technology used in Panasonic’s VIERA Neo PDP’s. Matushita will be manufacturing the PDP panels which combine both these technologies.
