3D TV’s are all the rage these days and added buying incentives for these include built-in Blu-Ray drives. This is not new technology so Panasonic’s latest “3D Viera RT2B” series Plasma TVs are going to have a bit of competition to fend off. The new series that are available in 46-inch and 42-inch sizes, come preloaded with Blu-ray recorders with 3D support and a switch-to-3D option as well as 500GB hard drives. They’ll also include a set of 3D glasses that will also be available in sizes viz. small, medium and large. The glasses are powered by lithium-ion batteries that will be priced at about ¥13,000 (US $150). There’s no specific mention on whether or not one pair will be included with packageing. The TVs will be out in August and are priced at approximately ¥440,000 (approx US $5,072) for the 46-incher and ¥390,000 (US $4,495) for the 42-inch model.
