Pentax X-5 superzoom camera packs an LCD that tilts and zooms 26x

Pentax are covering distance with much flurry. Their X-5 goes beyond the regular zooming capabilities of regular cameras and offers a 26x lens, thus winning it the title of a superzoom camera. The 22-580mm equivalent lens will help photographers capture some awe-inspiring 16-megapixel stills. Riding on this fact, the company have leveraged some more capabilities that have been developed over time. From these is a backside-illuminated CMOS sensor for cleaner images, 1080p video captures, an electronic viewfinder and a 3-inch LCD display with tilting capabilities.

If one would only think back a bit, it’s clear that Pentax haven’t done a lot lately, on the release front at least. So with Photokina in the horizon the $280 price for the September-bound X-5 is a good deal. It has several USPs to back it up as well.
