Pioneer has just announced the latest editions to their AVIC HDD navigation units. There are three new units under the Cyber Nabi range and three under the Easy Nabi Lite range. The Cyber Nabi models feature large 7-inch widescreen touch displays sporting 800 x 480 pixel resolutions. They also come with a terrestrial digital tuner and a DVD drive. The VH9990/ZH9990 models have a built-in light sensor that auto adjust the brightness and contrast levels of the display to suite the environment all in real time. Other multimedia optiosn include a Smart loop function and audio CD playback support and DivX support. They even feature “fuel economy presumption technology”. The AVIC-VH9990 model is priced at 325,500 Yen which works out to $3,468, the AVIC-ZH9990 comes for 304,500 Yen ($3,245) and the AVIC-H9990 is priced at 189,000 Yen ($2,014).
Two of the Easy Nabi Lite models are equipped with 7-inch touchscreen displays (AVIC-MRZ90G, AVIC-MRZ90II) that also have 800 x 480 pixel resolutions and the AVIC-MRZ85 is slightly smaller with a 6.1-inch display. They feature built in memory plus external memory support via USB and memory cards. These devices also support DivX, MPEG-4 and AVI video playback support. The Higher end models in this range viz. AVIC-MRZ90G, AVIC-MRZ90II will set you back about 173,000 Yen ($1842) and 133,000 Yen ($1416) respectively. The lower end MRZ85 is priced at 112,000 Yen ($1192).
