National Institute of Information Communications Technology Japan and Advanced Telecommunications, Inc have teamed up for developing ‘Pochi’ an advanced robot. It lacks arms but has a camera and a human like face. As seen in the above video when in cleaning mode it can distinguish between trash and would place each one differently. ATR Researcher and head of NICT says ‘There is still a lot of room of improvement, robots will continue to evolve starting with the ability to talk.
