Japan Trust Technology (JTT) has developed the Pod 60 battery for the iPod with a capacity of 6000 mAh. The battery is compatible with IPod fourth generation, IPod U2, IPod color, IPod Photo, IPod mini and IPod nano. As the battery is external it connects to the iPod via the Dock connector using a special cable. The cable has two wires one connects to the battery and the other connects to the iPod’s Dock connector. The battery has a power guage which shows the battery life. The Pod 60 can be charged fully using it’s AC adapter in 3 – 4 hours. It is available in White color only.

It measures 82 x 58 x 24mm and weighs 180 grams. It will be available in Japan from December 16th for 7,980 Yen ($ 70).

Connector cable – The round end connects to the battery and the other connects to the iPod via the Dock Connector.
