Japan respects their creations and gives them their dues. So what if it is the dear old Pikachu? Visa is bringing in a cool new wave of credit cards themed around Pokemons. The design is simple and has a beaming Pikachu all over it. The first 500 people to sign up will receive a Pokemon hand mirror while the first thousand will be blessed with an illustrated plastic file. And here’s the best part. Everyone signing up for the card before October 31st will enter a lucky draw, where the winner will be visited by Pikachu on Christmas Day! Sumitomo Mitsui will be offering two Visa card designs. There’s a special edition card that can only be applied for at the Pokemon Center retail outlets and has only 10,000 limited edition pieces up for grabs.


The credit limit will depend on your credit ranking. It could range between 100,000 and 800,000 yen (US$800 and $6,400).
