We’ve seen how mechanical exoskeletons help those with physical impediments cope with their daily activities before. However, with the development of the Human Universal Load Carrier (HULC) exoskeleton there’s a lot more that can be done, especially as far as soldiers are concerned. They can carry heavier loads of up to 200 lbs. It can reach a maximum speed of up to 7 mph with 10 mph bursts every now and then. These next generation HULCs are totally awesome and will make our soldiers into some powerful beings. The battery powered exoskeletons can stand by our forces for a whole 72 hours!
Lockheed Martin are said to be given a $1.1 million grant from the US Army to get working on these amazing exoskeletons. The one we saw from Honda was no less competition though.
