Hackers rummaging through the leaked Windows 8 M1 build managed to find some evidence suggesting that Microsoft’s next OS may come with a facial-recognition feature, courtesy Kinect. Reminds us of earlier Microsoft suggestions that webcams by 2012 would make login simpler by checking the user’s face as they sit down, a little-know feature of the Kinect (and a shoddy giveaway)!

This will require the used to keep their webcam on at all times, a not-so-recommended-for-privacy detail.
P.s.: I know, it’s a rumour – no reason we shouldn’t be cautious!
