I remember this whole myth that the Eagles track, ‘Hotel California’, had some evil undertones when played in reverse. The trend of playing records backwards seems to have arisen again with the Sakasa recorder from Japan. Hearing things backwards can sound strange, mostly funny, and sometimes make some creepy sense too. You can play games where you record something and play it in reverse before someone and ask them to guess what was originally said. Well, it isn’t really thrilling I know, but at least I can go snooping around more famous songs to play in reverse.
The Sakasa Master Backwards Voice Recorder uses a pair of AAA batteries and costs $29.
