Samsung Galaxy A5 and A3 are its thinnest smartphones ever

amsung-galaxy-a5-a3When Chinese companies like Oppo, Softbank, and the South Korean tech giant LG are competing with each other making slimmer and slimmer smartphones every other day, how could Samsung not get into the race? Samsung has launched its two thinnest smartphones ever Galaxy A5 and A3 with metallic unibody. And these aren’t flagship smartphones, the Galaxy A5 is 6.7 mm thick or should we say thin, Galaxy A3 is 6.9mm in thickness. Looks like Samsung wants to come in the “thinnest smartphones” limelight by just marketing these as its slimmest smartphones, in all it’s actually Galaxy Alpha launched earlier is also 6.7 mm in thickness. But, the all metallic body is definitely an edge over the other slim smartphones.

Samsung Galaxy A5 has a 5.0 inch screen with a 720p AMOLED display, 2 GB of RAM, processor clocked at 1.2GHz with 13 Megapixel rear camera and a 5.0 megapixel selfie friendly front facing camera. Galaxy A3 sports a 4.5 inch qHD Super AMOLED screen, a gig of RAM, the same processor as A5, 8 Megapixel rear camera, but the good news for selfie lovers is that the front facing camera is still 5 Megapixels. Samsung is sure trying to win the hearts of its young customers with these smartphones by giving such good front cameras, slim body, and many colour options to choose from. Samsung Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A3 will be available in China and India very soon, a launch in the west will most likely not happen.
