Samsung SPH-P9000 Wimax PDA up close and personal

At the GITEX IT exhibition in Dubai Samsung showcased the ultra portable SPH-P9000 which is the world’s smallest device running on Windows XP with a full QWERTY keyboard. When folded it is slightly bigger than the Nintendo DS (much thicker though) but when unfolded it reveals a 5″ WVGA (800 x 480) display supporting 262,144 colors. Just to brush up the specs it is powered by a 1 GHz processor and 256MB DDR RAM, has a 30 Gig drive, Bluetooth support and 1.3 Megapixel Camera. The SPH-P9000 is truly a mobile computer as it supports Wibro (More like mobile Wi-Fi currently in use in Korea only which offers 30 – 50 Mbps) and CDMA2000 1x EVDO for high speed browsing. The device will be rolled out in Korea by 2 – 3 weeks.
