samsung_i600.jpgSamsung has expanded its Ultra line of slim phones at the ITU Telecom World 2006 in Hong Kong. Starting with the Samsung Ultra Messaging i600 it is sure to make the Motorola Q a thing of the past, the i600 runs on WIndows Mobile 5.0 and is the first 3G smartphone with HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access) support. It is only 11.8mm thick which makes it the slimmest 3G smartphone with a QWERTY keyboard. The i600 has a 1.3 Megapixel at the back and a VGA in the front for video conferencing. Specs include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, speakerphone, and 2.3 inch high res screen. When it comes to software it comes preloaded with Pocket Office, Windows Media Player 10, Image / PDS viewer, Push Email technology, and support for podcasting and RSS feeds. The i600 is comfortable to hold and has a soft finishing which makes it easy to hold.


The Samsung Ultra Messaging i600 weighs 99 grams and will be available in Europe and Asia by Q1 2007.
