We’ve seen a fair number of scanning pens that provide portability and manage to do swell job with basic scanning mechanisms. However, a quicker solution is one called the Sanwa 400-CMS011 vertical scanner that stands erect on a stand. You can easily scan up to A4-sized images. It has a CMOS camera with a resolution of up to 2,048×1,536 pixels, with Autofocus and a height of 40cm. Since it does have a camera that fine, the makers must have thought of including video recording too. Hence you can have short 30fps clips in AVI and WMA formats.

The Sanwa 400-CMS011 multipurpose standing scanner would cost you up to $247. It is compatible with Windows platforms.
