Japanese carriers are gearing up to face the iPhone 5. After KDDi it is now Softbank which has expanded its lineup and among them is the Sharp Aquos 102SH. To be made available in three colors this phone is powered by a OMAP4430 dual core processor at 1 Ghz and 1GB of RAM. Running on Android Gingerbread the phone packs in a 4.5 inch 3D HD display supporting a resolution of 720 × 1280 pixels at 329 ppi (pixels per inch) which has a bit more than the iPhone 4 which holds 326 ppi. It comes with a mobile wallet, Infrared (yes, Japanese still use it), Bluetooth, GPS, digital TV tuner with support for recording which can be later played on Sharp LCD’s with DLNA. The Aquos 102SH is water / dustproof and has a 12 megapixel camera with image stabilizer and can record video in full HD at 30 fps. The phone measures 128 × 65 × 9.7mm and weighs 137 grams.
