A new name has cropped up among the usual suspects for new tablet renditions. This time we’re looking at the Skytex Skypad Alpha 2 tablet that will have its share of pretty satisfactory ‘surprises’. The spec sheet reads Android Gingerbread 2.3.4 support, a Cortex A8 1.2GHz multi-core processor, 512MB RAM, a dedicate GPU, a mini-USB 2.0 OTG port, 3.5-mm jack, microSD card support up to 32GB and plug-and-play support.

The Skytex Skypad Alpha 2 tablet will be available for $169 but from Christmas, the price will rise to $219.
