Sony unveils new lineup of Walkman portable media players


With the age of the smartphone looming large, there are still a few of us who rely on our portable media players to entertain us while on the move. Bringing smiles back on our faces, Sony has just unleashed its latest arsenal of Walkman devices including the F800 Walkman with a 3.5-inch multitouch-capable LCD screen and a Tegra 2 (dual-core) processor running Android 4.0 with prices beginning at $269 for the 16GB version with the 32GB priced at $299. Complete with WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, the F800 Walkman was unveiled alongside the S770BT and E570/E470 series. Available in 8GB, the Sony S770BT comes with a 2-inch QVGA LCD screen, MDR-NWBT10 Bluetooth wireless earbuds and 36 hours of battery life while the E470 packs a 2-inch screen. Also, the E470 is available in 4, 8 and 16GB priced at $79, $89 and $ 109 respectively. Set apart from the rest, the E570 is the only PMP in this release with MDR-NC033E noise cancelling ear buds and will also be made available in 8 and 16GB.
