Fifth of June was celebrated as the World Environment Day, keeping with the sentiments Sony has put on display a whole range of environmentally friendly stuff in Japan. All the gear on display does not require electricity to recharge. The Spin N’ Snap digital camera, which is a part of the display is the most intriguing one of the lot. You can charge up the camera by simply placing your fingers in the two holes (which also double as a viewfinder) and spinning it around a few times. The Crank N’ Capture camera, which can also capture video, is a bit diverse but also doesn’t require power.
The Pull N’ Play stereo headphones and the Push POWER Play device (kind of a viewer of some sort), get charged by rolling it back and forth on a table. The “Juice Box,” which packs a fold out solar panel can be used to charge your other devices. It seems that most of the devices are made out of re-used or recycled plastic. There is no word on availability or pricing, but it sure looks a fun way to bring about environmental awareness to the public!
