Last year, Sony has posted up a teaser ad with the tagline “A smarter Walkman phone is coming soon” hinting plans for an Android Walkman phone. Here’s an update since, the first Walkman Android handset will be called the W15 and is expected to resemble the Xperia X8 in terms of looks. It comes packed with a 3″ HVGA touchscreen, a “dedicated music chip”, a 3.2MP camera, and a 600MHz processor.

Other features include a “specially developed touch interface” and special Walkman apps. No word on pricing but the phone which was expected to make an appearance last year will finally do so later this month or next month. Watch this space!
