A user at the Playstation forum, has posted images of the Sony PSP 3.0 Firmware in action. According to the rumours the new firmware will allow you to update the PSP via the upcoming Sony PS3 and also watch movies and TV streamed from the Playstation 3 on the PS3.

I don’t know what happened to the time and date, maybe it gives you the option to hide it. As for the online and music icons, they may just be offscreen, and accessable by pressing left or right.

The lines in the background look fake
I’m holding my psp in front of the screen right now, and he’s right, the lines do look fake, and if you want to prove that you are running firmware 3.0 then why would not include an additional screenshot that shows the system information.
Though I don’t dought that it is 3.0 It’s not like it is impossible to obtain. Just close.

1st theirs no battery or time displayed in the top right hand corner

first of all
that photo is NOT fake
but it isn’t firmware 3.0
this is just some clever custom firmware that someone has made at home
SONY WOULD NEVER MAKE ICONS AS UGLY AS THEM
PLUS I AM SURE THAT I HAVE SEEN THIS CUSTOM FIRMWARE ON THE WEB
Version 3.0 is released and available. Don’t know what the fuss is all about.

Added Remote play to let you play the PS3 via the PSP.
Not much really after al the hype. Seems they are pushing PSP users to buy the PS3.
Next Rev will probably insist that you need a PS3 to continue using the PSP
Or just stay @ 1.5 and dont do anything (or the custom FW).
There’s alot of things you can do with a 1.5 than a 3.0, but just wait a few more months and i bet you that there will be one guy that finds a leak in the FW and crack it. XD

Every time i turn around there is another psp update, its wiered, but updateing to the camera was a ++ for me, but the camera is way to big, it should be sleek and low key, but its bot its freaking HUGE, and whats with the video, i have tried to go on the internet and save videos, but it dosen’t even let me it says i dont have enough memory, and i have 2 gigs, come on whats up with that?
