Sony Japan has released firmware ver 3.0 for the PSP which includes quite a few additions like the Auto UMD setting which prevents a game from loading when the UMD is inserted. In addition to this it has the Camera function which allows to use the optional add on camera to be released later. However the main addition is the tight integration with the PS3 which allows you to view images and play music stored on the PS3 when connected via Wi-Fi. You can also use the PSP as a remote control for the PS3 (Remote Play).
