We all know the awesomeness of the SpaceShipTwo project from what we’ve learnt and read about in the past few months. However this whole dream has gotten a bit more tangible with the first flight of the ‘ship’ took place as part of a dress rehearsal, with crew and all. The aircraft departed the Mojave Air and Space Port and was soon followed by a chase plane. The test team has been preparing with all their best effort put at work at Scaled Composites.

The SpaceShipTwo has been the brainchild and possession of Virgin Galactic to promote Space Tourism. There has been no announcement of the first real flight with real passengers as yet.
