StayLocked bicycle turns disabled with breaking the lock

Bicycle users perhaps face the wrath of thieves more than those who chose to ride in their four-wheeled gas-guzzlers, given that these contraptions of transport are easily broken into. Toronto-based industrial designer and cyclist Andrew Leinonen however, has come up with a pretty interesting way to keep thieves at bay, with a self-destructing bike lock. Breaking this lock simply disables the StayLocked concept bicycle, rendering it useless to ride. After years of worrying about the safety of his bicycle and a theft of his girlfriend’s green ride, Leinonen decided to give thieves a lot more to think about before stealing, with this concept bike.
